Just Sean and I driving in the car…somewhere.
Sean: Mom, how do you turn right?
Mom: You turn the wheel to the right.
Sean: How do you turn left?
Mom: You turn the wheel to the left.
Sean: Ok, how do you make the car go really really fast?
Mom: You push the right peddle.
Sean: Oh!!! So now I know how to drive so when I become an adult I can drive. But….I don’t have ANY adult clothes so I’ll just have to wear a garbage bag.

Sean: Dad, I fell on the monkey bars and hurt my privates again.
Dad: Be careful Sean, if you do that too much you won’t be able to have kids.
Sean: Dad, only girls make babies in their tummy’s.
Dad: Yeah Sean but… um… Never mind…
Sam: Dad, he’s too young for that conversation.
Dad: What do you mean? You’re too young for that conversation!

Mom: I love you Sean.
Sean: I love you too.
Mom: I love you more.
Sean: I love you more than I thought.
Mom: What?!
Sean: (laughs)

It’s me, Sean and a student aide sitting at a small round table on the smallest chairs on earth.

Aide: Sean, show me how high you can count?
Sean: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12…40,41,42,43,44,45,46,46,48,49,40-10,40-11…
Aide: Wow..that’s pretty high!

Aide: Sean, now I need you to write down each letter of the alphabet in order on this sheet of paper.
Sean: Ok!
Sean starts writing and gets a little lost and stuck on a letter.
Sean: Umm, is this letter anywhere on this piece of paper?
Aide: I can’t tell you that.
Sean: Ummm ok, how bout on my shirt? (Sean had a few sentences on his shirt that day)
Aide: (starts laughing) You can go to the next letter if you want and come back to that one later.
Sean: When do I get to write ELEMENO next? (L,M,N,O)
Mom: (laughing) Sean, that’s more than one letter L, M, N & O..silly!

Aide: Sean, here are some green and orange blocks. Can you show me what a pattern looks like?
Sean: ???
Sean starts playing with the blocks.
Sean: (a bit frustrated) Can I just build a house instead?

Aide: Sean, here are crayons. Can you tell me the color of each crayon?
Sean: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White, Grey, Purple…..TADAHHH!!!!
Aide: Good job Sean! Okay you are all done for today.
Sean: Yay!!! Let’s do that again!
Mom to Sean: No no Seanny, she doesn’t have time.
Mom to Aide: He’s been asking for homework since he was 3.

Mom: Ok guys, mommy has to take you to Linda’s so she can watch you. Mommy has to go to a parent class.
Sam: Oh, I know mom so you can learn to take care of the baby.
Mom: No Sammy, it’s not for that. Mommy knows how to do that. It’s a class to help me be a better mom with you guys and the baby.
Sam: Mom, you’re already a great mom.
Mom: Auw, thanks Sam!
Sam: I think it’s us.
Mom: No, you guys are good, just keep behaving and doing what you do.
